The Law on Fisheries and Aquaculture No. 11,959 / 2009 was enacted in 2009, which provides for the National Policy for the Sustainable Development of Aquaculture and Fisheries, regulates fishing activities, repeals Law No. 7,679, of November 23, 1988, and provisions of Decree-Law No. 221, of February 28, 1967, and provides other measures.
